3 Boredom Buster Ideas for Kids Ages 10-12

 Sometimes life is boring as a kid ages 10-12. That's why this blog is here to help! Have fun reading these 3 ideas:

1. Make up a Language

Making your own language is so much fun. Do it with a friend or a sibling. It can be hilarious when no one knows what you're saying!

It could be really simple and just English words mixed! For example: Old word = New way to say it

Eat = Halloween

Candy = Eat

Trick-or-Treat = Candy

Let = Computer

Go = Dinner

We = Mice

Can = Cube

After = Door

ML (Mixed Language) Sentences: Computer('s) dinner candy(ing). Mice cube Halloween eat door.

Did you understand it? It probably took a little bit of time to grasp!! For the record, it said:

Let's go Trick-or-Treating! We can eat candy after.

You language could also be a bit more complicated! It could be completely gibberish!

Hi = Nixol

Bestie = Tikki

What = zrrrr

Up = elltingora

GL (Gibberish Language) Sentences: Nixol tikki! Zrrrr('s) elltingora?

Could you understand it? It said: Hi bestie! What's up?

2. Make your own Newscast!

Doing this is super fun! It's especially fun with the right props. Headphones, a microphone, fancy blazer or suit coat, large board for weather forecasting, and maybe even a camera!

Be creative! Predict the weather, tell the world that aliens may have come down on a hidden island nobody knew about, or say that all the volcanos in the world will erupt at the exact same time in exactly 48 hours! Let your creativity spark as this boredom buster takes up hours of your boredom!

3. Make a DIY Rock Garden!

Do you love to paint rocks? This can be especially fun if you have a special place to put the rocks or a certain thing to do with them!

Step 1: Find a place either in your yard, the park, or any outdoor place that you have access to. It could be a secretive place or even just a pretty place you go often.

Step 2: Find rocks that you are allowed to color and paint, and get coloring supplies! Watercolor, crayons, or any other artistic tools!

Step 3: Make designs on the rocks! You could draw flowers, bugs, inspirational messages, or anything else that comes to mind!

Step 4: Place the rocks in your secret place and go to your place if you; need time alone, are sad, want to view your rock collection, or need a secret club house for you and your friends! Have fun!
